They're never not a problem.Īs someone that loves the Brute, Consistent high damage and taking no damage must be hyperbole.īut, with good gear & selective burners, it is extremely satisfying when my Brute can enter a room, take a ton of hits, but give out more damage in retaliation than they took from those hits (my best round I took 7 hits, 4 total damage to my Brute, 14 retaliate damage sent back).Īgain, the damage isn't reliable, but with +movement boots & the top of balanced measure with the bottom of trample cash do great damage for level 1 cards (or the bottom of hook & chain if I can set it up right), then unstoppable charge, does nice damage, and that doesn't get into how good the Brute is at pushing & pulling enemies into traps & hazardous terrain, or the AOE & bottom attack options. Just be careful with when you use your invisibility cloak or ability (if you're only gonna be hit by one enemy, take the risk unless you're about to long rest and want to use your invisible before you recycle cards), and with a little practice you should be able to vastly reduce the opportunities the enemy has to gank you.Įxcept for hounds and flame demons. Perverse Edge is a very fast stun that gives ice for your other stun. At low levels, with Mind's Weakness active, very few enemies are surviving 2 attacks from you. Late in/early out is even more important to mindthief than it is to the other classes (and its pretty darn important period), at low level you have a good mix of very slow and very fast cards, and with the +2 boots and your already good movement cards, it shouldn't be too hard to go after the enemies, run up to a ranged guy, and if you don't kill him, then you'll kill him and run away the next turn (or kill him and stun another so he can't attack you).
